Security Officer - Retail Access Control

About the role
As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail/mall environments. As a Screener at a premier retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and deliveries, verifying badges, and communicating professionally with guests and staff. Your visible presence and attention to detail help deter security-related incidents while supporting exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, retail screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen employees, contractors, vendors, deliveries, and visitors entering designated areas in accordance with site policies and access requirements.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and screening equipment; verify credentials and report prohibited items, irregularities, and access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unsecured areas, and facility concerns.
Requirements
- Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Loss prevention experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Access control and badge experience.

$21.85 / hour

- Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 07:15 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM - 08:15 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM - 06:15 PM
