We are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer - Registration Specialist to join our Emergency Department team. This dual-role position plays a critical part in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while also supporting timely and accurate patient registration.

Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and on-site to identified security risks or threats within the Emergency Department.
- De-escalate patients in crisis or those exhibiting aggressive or disruptive behavior.
- Maintain a high-visibility presence to promote safety and deter potential threats.
- Manage emergency or crisis situations calmly and effectively in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.
- Greet patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in a friendly and professional manner; provide assistance as needed.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously; route calls accurately and take detailed messages when necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in CPSI registration system for accurate and efficient patient intake.
- Collect, scan, and verify insurance information and related documentation.
- Obtain appropriate signed consents for all services rendered, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Law Enforcement or Hospital Security experience required.
- Customer Service preferably in a hospital, medical or physician office preferred.
- Must maintain current BLS certification.
- HRRMC offered de-escalation Training within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and customer service, with a proven ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. A college degree is preferred but not required.
