Security Officer Reception Console with Active Clearance

About the role

As a Security Officer Reception Console with Active Clearance in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will help manage access, welcome visitors, monitor activity from a central post, and support day-to-day security-related operations with professionalism and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor lobby and reception areas, manage access control activities, and verify credentials for guests, vendors, and/or deliveries entering the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support security-related operations by answering phones, documenting visitor activity, maintaining required logs and reports, and directing people to the appropriate contact or destination.
• Aid in enforcing location policies related to access, visitor management, and professional conduct in a technology-focused environment.

Requirements

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
