Security Officer R & D Site - Clearance Eligible

Job Summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Eligible). This role involves providing high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism. Responsibilities include conducting patrols, greeting guests, responding to alarms, and acting as a first responder in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
• Must have a valid clean driving record
• Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
• 2+ years Military, Law Enforcement, or First Responder experience
• Associate Degree in Criminal Justice (or higher)
• 5+ years verifiable industrial security experience

Qualifications

• (Must Have): High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Possess one or more of the following: Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site, Prior military experience, Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, Exceptional customer service skills, Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
