Security Officer - PT Overnight Hospital

About the role

As a Security Officer Medical Patrol in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted spaces to help support access control practices, assist with directions, and/or address unauthorized entry concerns.
• Assist with de-escalation support during patient and visitor interactions, and help coordinate with staff and first responders during medical, behavioral, and/or facility-related events.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
