What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, direction, and/or access control procedures in support of daily operations and site protocols.
- Support healthcare staff during routine and unusual situations by communicating clearly, following post orders, and assisting with security-related requests as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
- Work in and/or around a hospital morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
