Security Officer - Pool - Seasonal (Caesars Palace LV)

Responsibilities

• Protects company assets and provides a safe environment for our employees and guests.
• Provides directions and escort to customers in need.
• Assists civil and law enforcement authorities, including testifying in court and other administrative hearings.
• Makes chip fills, jackpot verifications, and patrols all sections of the property to identify safety hazards and breaches in security.
• Interviews, investigates, and documents all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
• Makes detailed descriptions of lost and found items and incidents.
• Enforces all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a position with direct guest contact required.
• Prior experience in a position with direct guest contact is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in basic computer programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), First Aid & CPR certifications.
• Willingness to work any day of the week and any shift.
• Well-groomed appearance.
• Completion of eight (8) hours of ASP (baton) training.
• Ability to prepare effective written reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
• Able to physically restrain individuals when necessary.
• Able to remain calm and make rational decisions under stress.
• Able to work independently and perform various physical tasks.
• Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
• Able to pass the physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within ninety days of employment.
• To re-certify every two years through the Western Division Security Academy and meet all physical, mental, and environmental demands.
