Position Purpose
The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property. As a Security Officer, you will:
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Recognizes special needs/concerns of populations served and adjusts communication accordingly, i.e., language barrier, diminished hearing, concrete terms, etc.
- Patrols tours
- Monitors Closed Circuit TV (CCTV)
- Responds to all Emergency Code alerts
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license in good standing
- Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors
- Performs alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention
- 1-year Prior hospital experience preferred
