Security Officer Patrol Unit

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including warehouse areas, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic, verify permitted access as directed by site procedures, and document deliveries, pickups, and other logistics-related activity when required.
• Communicate with site contacts, drivers, visitors, and/or local responders as needed regarding security-related matters, incidents, and operational concerns at the location.

Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
