Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift while putting people first in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with crowd management, closing procedures, and other site-specific duties that support daily operations in a busy mall environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
