Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting observations through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers, verify authorized access, and/or communicate with site contacts regarding visitor procedures and operational needs.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing package handling areas, reporting damaged property or suspicious behavior, and/or assisting with incident response related to shipping and distribution activity.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
