Security Officer Patrol Route

As a Security Officer Research Center in Novi, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support security-related operations with professionalism, integrity, and teamwork while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and/or assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations in required reports, and/or communicate relevant updates to supervisors, clients, and local personnel.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Daytime shifts from 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
