Security Officer Patrol Role

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations, directing foot traffic, and relaying information during weather, medical, and/or facility-related events.

Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills
