Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and/or receiving locations for unusual activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with de-escalation when needed, and coordinating with local leadership and/or first responders during incidents.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
