About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations within a healthcare setting, assisting with access-related concerns and directing visitors as needed.
- Support daily operations by documenting incidents, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, and following Allied Universal post orders and client guidelines.
Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergencies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
