Security Officer Patrol Responder

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Responder in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify concerns and support site protocols.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and document security-related issues, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post instructions.
• Support emergency and routine operations by assisting with directions, de-escalation, and communication during alarms, disturbances, and/or other site events.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
