About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol in Olympia, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will use communication and customer service skills to report security-related concerns and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, common areas, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
  • Communicate observed concerns, unusual activity, and maintenance issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR certification.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet.
  • Access control and badge experience.
  • Customer service experience.

Pay

$22.25 / hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
