Security Officer Patrol Operations

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Assist with access and crowd flow monitoring during busy periods, special events, and/or closing procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for visitors and staff.
• Communicate with store personnel, property representatives, and/or local responders as needed regarding security-related matters, hazards, and incident updates.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.
• Guard card or license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
