Security Officer - Patrol Observation

As a Security Officer - Patrol Observation in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious circumstances according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, patrol records, and incident reports while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Basic computer literacy.
