Security Officer Patrol Observation

Overview

The role is a Part‑Time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Grand Prairie, TX, serving clients in industries such as retail/malls. The position uses the “Claim a Shift” platform for flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with store personnel, customers, and responding public‑service personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of security‑related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.

• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
