Security Officer Patrol - Medical Center

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related post instructions within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, observe visitor activity, and document security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, relay important information during shift changes, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Security-related experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds.
