Security Officer Patrol Incident Prevention

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Fredericksburg, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor, contractor, and vendor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and coordinating with appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Prepare clear, timely activity reports and document incidents, observations, and security-related interactions in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

$19.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
