Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Guard in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule

• Day: Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Sun 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate site contacts.
• Support closing and opening activities, assist with crowd and line monitoring during busy periods, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or unauthorized activity through a visible presence.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
