Security Officer - Patrol Escort

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Escort in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions related to access points, equipment areas, and restricted locations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues.
• Support daily operations by maintaining visible presence, following post orders, and completing required reports, logs, and incident documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A primarily driving post is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
