Security Officer Patrol Emergency Support

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with integrity, teamwork, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, parking areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.

Pay

$18.74 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 01:15 PM - 09:15 PM
• Saturday: 01:15 PM - 09:15 PM
