Security Officer Patrol Driver Role
About the role
Join Allied Universal as a patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant activity according to site expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential concerns.
- Monitor customer and associate activity, report suspicious behavior, and/or assist with access control and crowd management during busy business hours.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing for policy violations, unsecured areas, and/or other security-related issues, then communicating concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
