Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a public utility location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, offices, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when required.
  • Report observed hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision according to established procedures.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age.

Skills

  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents.
  • Knowledge of alarm panels and access control systems.
