About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to riders, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during high-traffic periods, and report suspicious activity or unattended property according to site procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to incidents, patrols, observations, and customer interactions.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
