Security Officer - Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Huntington, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. This part-time, unarmed patrol position involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting a secure environment for personnel and visitors. The role requires a valid driver's license and involves delivering exceptional customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and security-related policies at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated areas to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
