About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Oneonta, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will use communication skills and technology to support daily operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork and care for others.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and communicating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and contacting emergency services when directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.

$18.78 / hour
Schedule
- Day shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday
