Security Officer Patrol Communications

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized behavior through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and closing procedures as directed by site policies and Allied Universal standards.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
