Security Officer - Patrol Ambassador

About the role

As a Security Officer - Patrol Ambassador in Gilbert, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will patrol assigned areas, monitor activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity involving employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries, verifying access permissions and reporting concerns in accordance with post instructions.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing vehicle traffic, checking assigned areas, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
