Security Officer Part Time Visible Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government facilities, public access areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
