About the role
As a Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This primarily driving role includes providing outstanding customer service, clear communication, and professional assistance to passengers, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods or special events, and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and authorized personnel.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$28.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
