Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Situational Awareness

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location in Marina Del Rey, CA. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to shoppers, tenants, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and monitoring of restricted areas, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
