About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, visitors, and staff with professional service and clear communication. You will help promote a welcoming environment while responding to concerns and documenting observations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately and communicate professionally with law enforcement, transit personnel, and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$29.93 / hour

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Thursday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
