Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Recordkeeping

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Westerville, OH, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.55 / hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Friday: 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
