Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention Security Officer in Miami, FL to serve and safeguard clients in retail and mall environments. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting customers and team members with professionalism and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft‑related activity, and other policy violations.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Part‑Time position.
• Daytime shifts:
  • Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
