Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed by location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and contractor activity in accordance with location policies; report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities while maintaining professionalism and respect for patient privacy.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
