Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a transportation parking environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to parking facility users, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking garages, lots, entrances, stairwells, elevators, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor parking facility activity, observe for suspicious behavior, and report incidents, hazards, damaged property, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
