About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions or policy concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$20.60 / Hour
Schedule
- Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
