Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter, while reporting unusual conditions or concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintaining accurate records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site policy.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership to support day-to-day security-related operations.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

This role requires a six (6) month commitment and offers the flexibility to pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
