Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
