Security Officer Part Time - Unarmed

About the role

As an Access Control Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, respond to access-related concerns, and help deter incidents through a professional, visible presence. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare retail and pharmacy location.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and visitor activity; report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, pharmacy-related areas, business operations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$15.95 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
