Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Access Control

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Griffin, GA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with the site team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
