Security Officer Part Time Site Support

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site policies, helping to document and report security-related concerns and/or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to incidents and emergencies.
• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
