As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Services in Birmingham, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Aid with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and follow-up needs to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
