Security Officer Part Time Security Clearance Driver

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer with a Security Clearance Driver role in McLean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, and Telecom. This position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, operate a vehicle as needed, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, office areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders to support a professional environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Supervisory experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$30.05 per hour.
