About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Digital Receptionist in McLean, VA, you’ll have reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and retail associates while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a luxury retail location.
• Manage the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying access authorization, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access points, receive deliveries, and assist with the coordination of visitor, vendor, and contractor entry in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while supporting a professional, welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
