Security Officer Part Time Patrol Services

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public utility location, you will conduct routine bike and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. You will document security-related activities, communicate professionally, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and restricted locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unusual activity or access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify emergency services and site contacts according to established procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and complete required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Sunday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
